IHBC International update: $100 million fund to protect endangered cultural heritage
The International Safeguarding Endangered Cultural Heritage Conference in Abu Dhabi announced the creation of a fund to protect endangered cultural heritage from the destructive results of armed conflicts.

Civic Voice Design Awards open for entries: Includes special prize celebrating 50th anniversary of Conservation Areas
The annual Design Award from Civic Voice – England’s link body for Civic groups – celebrating well-designed new build, heritage and public realm projects, has been launched, with a closing date 14 February 2017, and to mark the 50th anniversary of Conservation Area legislation there will also be a special prize this year for a development within a Conservation Area.

HESPR-listed Purcell a key appointment for ‘Reimagining Wordsworth’ project
The Wordsworth Trust has announced the lead practitioners in the transformation of Wordsworth’s home in time for the 250th anniversary of the poet’s birth, with Purcell – the IHBC HESPR-listed architectural practice and historic building consultant – leading on the redevelopment of the site, enhancing the visitor experience and uniting Wordsworth’s beloved landscape with the new facilities.

Dr Tim Yates, COTAC trustee, appointed as Stone Federation President
