Defra report: ‘Delivering 30by30 on land in England’ – 30% protection by 2030
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs(DEFRA) has published a paper indicating it is committed to protecting 30% of the UK’s land by 2030 (30by30). This document sets out the government’s approach to delivering 30by30 on land in England.

1 in 7 neurodivergent project managers are not telling employers about their condition – APM research reveals
One in seven project managers who consider themselves to be neurodivergent have not informed their employer about their condition, according to a new survey by The Association for Project Management (APM).

IHBC& ICOMOS-UK launch exciting new collaboration with new MOU

ICOMOS-UK and the IHBC have agreed to strengthen their working relationship through a formal agreement focussed on establishing ‘closer ties and cooperation between these two organisations in the field of heritage conservation’, with a formal signing to come following on from recent Board-level ratifications.

Consultation on Home Energy Model (replacement for the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP)) open to 6/03
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is consulting on the new Home Energy Model which will replace the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) for the energy rating of homes, and includes engagement events, with the consultation closing 6 March 2024.

New Government Guidance for England issued: Adapting historic homes for energy efficiency – a review of the barriers
The Government has published online a review of the barriers to carrying out adaptations to historic buildings in England to make them more energy efficient, together with a summary of current actions and future commitments that highlight the roles of Government, planning, local authority and construction skills, capacity, and financial incentives to achieve such adaptations.

From 10 January to 20 March 2024, URBACT is running a call for the next generation of Innovation Transfer Networks (ITNs), which aim to transfer projects that were funded under Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) to other cities across the EU, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
