Three quarters of high streets have air pollution levels above World Health Organisation annual recommendations
A new study from Gridserve measured high street air quality of the 25 biggest British cities and towns, and found only six had air pollution within WHO’s annual recommendations, with Stoke-on-Trent having the highest average air pollution levels and Glasgow the lowest.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) closed with an agreement that signals the ‘beginning of the end’ of the fossil fuel era by laying the ground for a swift, just and equitable transition, underpinned by deep emissions cuts and scaled-up finance, reported the United Nations Climate Press.
