Government issues response to Farmer Review
The government has issued its response to Mark Farmer’s ‘Modernise or Die: The Farmer review of the UK construction labour model’ but has stopped short of introducing its controversial recommendation to implement a client charge for those firms who fail to invest in skills and innovation.

AHF appoints new CEO
The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) has announced the appointment of Matthew McKeague as its new Chief Executive, who will join the AHF from the Churches Conservation Trust and take up his post in October 2017.

IHBC on Intervention: SkillBuild competition highlights best in construction crafts as talents compete across occupations
The ‘SkillBuild’ competition sees the very best in construction talent compete against each other in local heats across the country, to be crowned the SkillBuild winner in their chosen craft occupation, culminating in the 2017 SkillBuild National Final at the NEC Birmingham from 16-18 November 2017.

BBC on England’s youngest Grade I listed structures – Humber Bridge – joining select friends
