IHBC’s Marsh reminder: £500 for retired IHBC members contributing to the community, and an IHBC Full School place – closing 31 March

DfT report on airport expansion summarises heritage impacts of Government-favoured Heathrow
A Department for Transport (DfT) consultation on the ‘Appraisal of Sustainability: Draft Airports National Policy Statement…’ has just been launched which explores the heritage impacts of proposed developments at Heathrow.

£4M grants for English Museums and Galleries improvements under DCMS/Wolfson Galleries and Museums Fund
Matt Hancock Minister of State for Digital and Culture, announced on 17 January last that grants totalling £4 million were awarded to improve displays and facilities at museums and galleries across England.

Cultural Property (Armed Conflicts) Bill next at its report stage and third reading on Monday 20 February 2017
The Bill would introduce the necessary legislation to enable the UK to ratify the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and accede to its two Protocols.
