The IHBC writes:

This short, confidential survey is open to all professionals and volunteers across the heritage field. Your input—whether you’re thriving, struggling, or somewhere in between—will provide valuable insights to inform future strategies, support, and initiatives.

The survey was first introduced at the IHBC Council meeting on 24 March, following a discussion sparked by a member’s candid account of how workplace stress had seriously impacted their health. It highlighted an urgent need to better understand the challenges facing heritage sector staff and volunteers.

Angharad Hart, IHBC’s Education Officer, commented:‘We know that the wellbeing of those working and volunteering in heritage is vital to the sector’s sustainability and success. This survey offers an important opportunity to gather real-world insights and shape future responses that support the people at the heart of our sector.’

‘I encourage everyone—regardless of how you currently feel—to take part. Everyone’s input matters.’
