The National Heritage Training Group (NHTG) has announced that Karen Houghton has been appointed as the National Project Manager for the NHTG’s Skills for the Future programme on a 27 month contract.

I am delighted to announce that Karen Houghton has been appointed as the National Project Manager for the NHTG’s Skills for the Future programme on a 27 month contract commencing this week on 3rd January 2012.
In summary and by way of background, Karen’s previous experience includes:
- Director of her own business since 2006 focussing on Culture and place-making, business development, fundraising and facilitation.
- Chief Executive; Urban Vision North Staffordshire.
- Head of Integreat Yorkshire; Yorkshire Forward’s Centre of Excellence in Renaissance and Regeneration.
- Executive Director; Architecture & Built Environment Centre.
- Environmental Consultancy; marketing and business development and environmental consultant.
- Regional Environmental Coordinator; Utilities Group.
- Development Surveyor; Utilities Group.
I am sure that Karen will be a great asset to the NHTG and that she will be able to work creatively and productively with us all over the next few challenging years.
