Manager appointed at NHTG’s ‘Skills for the Future’


The National Heritage Training Group (NHTG) has announced that Karen Houghton has been appointed as the National Project Manager for the NHTG’s Skills for the Future programme on a 27 month contract.

I am delighted to announce that Karen Houghton has been appointed as the National Project Manager for the NHTG’s Skills for the Future programme on a 27 month contract commencing this week on 3rd January 2012.

 

In summary and by way of background, Karen’s previous experience includes:

  • Director of her own business since 2006 focussing on Culture and place-making, business development, fundraising and facilitation.
  • Chief Executive; Urban Vision North Staffordshire.
  • Head of Integreat Yorkshire; Yorkshire Forward’s Centre of Excellence in Renaissance and Regeneration.
  • Executive Director; Architecture & Built Environment Centre.
  • Environmental Consultancy; marketing and business development and environmental consultant.
  • Regional Environmental Coordinator; Utilities Group.
  • Development Surveyor; Utilities Group.

 

I am sure that Karen will be a great asset to the NHTG and that she will be able to work creatively and productively with us all over the next few challenging years.
