Culture Action Europe is inviting all those who care about heritage and the arts in Europe to sign their petition, ‘We Are More’ – which aims to highlight to policymakers the value of European cultural activities – in advance of the financial negotiations for the period 2014-2020, with a new target of 100,000 signatures before all Culture Ministers meet in May 2012!
A recent Blog reports:
‘There is a simple reason for the difference between 0 and 22.000 signatures: people out there, including you, who believed enough in the campaign to give it a go to start with. We now call for help from new and existing campaign supporters to help us recruit even more campaign supporters and reach the national targets of signatures per country that we have set to make the challenge of collecting 100.000 signatures more achievable! EU support to culture over the next seven years is at stake and the negotiations over the next four months will be crucial – let’s make our voices heard!
