IHBC features ‘Heritage from the doorstep’: Concerns Southend’s Kursaal building ‘exposed to the elements’ and falling into disrepair

The local MP continues to raise concerns about the condition of one of Essex’s most famous buildings Southend’s Kursaal, reports Essex Live News.

Essex Live News writes:

An MP has called on the owners of Southend’s iconic Kursaal building to carry out urgent repairs…. Bayo Alaba, Labour MP for Southend East and Rochford, made the call over the smashed pane which is clearly visible on an upper floor of the Grade II-listed building…

Responding to the latest damage, the MP said: ‘I share disappointment at the damage to the window at the front of the Kursaal…’

… A spokesperson for AEW said: ‘We are aware of the broken window which unfortunately is the result of local vandals. We are arranging for it to be repaired.’
