Sir Nikolaus Pevsner’s awards and medals to be auctioned

The Victorian Society writes:

One of our founding members and celebrated architect, Sir Nikolaus Pevsner, received a number of awards and medals over his prolific lifetime, and it has recently been announced that they will be available for purchase on 10-11th April. Pevsner’s first work An Outline of European Architectures old more than half a million copies, he went on to write the extensive 46-volume The Buildings of England, before contributing to the establishment of the Victorian Society in 1958. Pieces of note at the auction will be the C.B.E. and German Order of Merit and the mounted pair of miniature dress medals worn by him. The auction will be held on 10th-11th April at Spink London.
