IHBC welcomes final data sets for Heritage Counts 2016: Featuring heritage branding
The IHBC has welcomed the release of England’s new suite of heritage indicators by Historic England, the final part of its Heritage Counts programme for 2016, with the theme for this year focussing on heritage branding of places.

The Empty Homes charity has found that 83% of British adults believe the Government should place a higher priority on tackling empty homes, an increase from 78% from two years ago.

HHA: Repair costs may close 70 stately homes
Up to 70 of Britain’s stately homes could be closed to the public in the next five years because of escalating repair costs the Historic Houses Association (HHA) says, according to the Telegraph.

Sir Robert McAlpine to revamp Big Ben
The Special Projects Division of Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a £3.5m contract for essential works to conserve the iconic Big Ben bell, clock and Elizabeth Tower in London, according to The New Civil Engineer.
