Planning Aid Scotland becomes PAS

Planning Aid Scotland has developed a new strategy guiding its work across communities in Scotland and is now known as PAS with the tagline ‘Building active citizenship’.

PAS writes:
In 2013 Planning Aid for Scotland decided to implement a consideration of its core proposition – an intensive look at what it is and what it does – for the benefit of its external and internal audiences. Such reflection is crucial for any organisation seeking renewed clarity of purpose, to reflect the skills of its employees and to maximise its ambition and importance in public life.

Message Matters strategic communications partners have worked closely with us to carry out a message audit to help develop and disseminate our message more effectively. The conclusion of this process culminates in a refreshed branding strategy for the organisation, implemented from the AGM meeting of 11 September onwards.

The new strategy sees Planning Aid for Scotland now known as: PAS (pronounced with a hard S). Its strapline is: ‘Building active citizenship’.

‘PAS enables people in Scotland to understand and engage with the places they live in through advice, training, events and awareness raising, so that everyone has the power to create positive communities for the future.

PAS is now in a refreshed position to further its profile in Scottish life and beyond, while continuing its quality range of services and support to communities thanks to its dedicated staff and volunteers.
