CASE – DCMS-led evidence base update

CASE: The Culture and Sport Evidence Programme: Second Newsletter

CASE is the £1.8M, 3 year joint programme of research led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in collaboration with the Arts Council England, English Heritage, the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and Sport England.  The overall aim is to strengthen our understanding of how best to deliver culture and sporting opportunities of the highest quality to the widest audience generating the best outcomes for society.

The first phase of the CASE programme is now underway with a consortium of the University of London’s EPPI-centre and Matrix Knowledge Group undertaking a key evidence and data review on the drivers and impacts of public participation in culture and sport.

We’ll be making new announcements from time to time as the work is carried out. To keep up with developments, sign up to the newsletter.

CALL FOR PAPERS, DATA and ANALYSIS

During this first stage of CASE we are looking to assess relevant high-quality studies, data sources or analysis relating to culture and sports policy on engagement. That can be anything which looks at who engages, when and why, as well as any work looking at the impact of that participation and the value of that impact. If you think you have papers, data or analysis that fit that description, send them through to                with subject ‘CASE Evidence’.

The e-newsletter will keep you up-to-date with the latest developments from CASE.
