With reports of a huge and successful response to the consultation on the next stage of England’s National Heritage Protection Plan (NHPP), IHBC Chair and NHPP Advisory Board vice-chair Mike Brown has offered his thanks, on behalf of the IHBC Council and NHPP Board, to all those who took the time to contribute to the consultation.
Mike Brown attended the Advisory Board meeting on 22 May 2014 that heard preliminary findings on the research.
Following that meeting Mike said: ‘The whole Board was astounded at the level of participation in this consultation which was unprecedented under this programme’.
‘Some very clear messages came out from all parts of the heritage sector about where the challenges and difficulties are and what the priorities should be for the next NHPP. The Board will be working closely with English Heritage and other partners in the programme over the next few months to develop a new sector-wide plan that will address the wide-spread concerns expressed. The IHBC will be central to taking this forward.’
‘I would like to thank all Members who took the time to participate in the consultation. Your efforts really have made a difference!’
