IHBC launches web survey for forward planning

The IHBC today opened a new phase in its exploration of membership needs and aspirations, with the launch of a web-based survey and ‘SWOT’ analysis for members and stakeholders.

IHBC director Seán O’Reilly said: “We want anyone interested in historic places to help shape our direction for the five years from 2010; hopefully it will be as successful as the guidance given by our own members over the last five.  In that time we’ve transformed both the IHBC, and our place on the landscape of historic and built environment interests, all with the support of new members as well as long-standing supporters.    Now is the time to reconsider how we move forward.

This survey is part of an on-going conversation we’ve been having across the sector since the start of the year.  In light of the big sectoral changes we are continuing to face, and the feedback already received, we’ve produced a briefing note to inform contributions to the survey.  Contributors can also join in a draw for a £40 book token as an added attraction.”
