RCAHMS–HS merger consultation events

ODS Consulting has been appointed to carry out stakeholder consultation to inform the development of the business case for a merger between the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) and Historic Scotland.

RCAHMS-HS writes:
This stakeholder consultation will build on the previous consultation (which was focused on the future of RCAHMS), but broaden this to the creation of a new organisation from Historic Scotland and RCAHMS

ODS Consulting are hosting three half-day consultation events. The purpose of these events is to allows stakeholders to discuss in more depth the potential offered by the creation of a new organisation through merger and ways that previously expressed concerns can best be mitigated.

The events are being held on:

Wednesday 28 November – St Mungo’s Museum, Glasgow (10.00am – 12.30pm)

Monday 3 December – Quaker Meeting House, Edinburgh (10.00am – 12.30pm)

Tuesday 4 December – Eden Court, Inverness (2pm – 4.30pm)

You are invited to attend any one of these events. Places are limited and so it is advisable to book your place in advance. Please complete the booking form indicating the event you wish to attend and send it back to Emma Hewitt at ODS Consulting by Wednesday 21 November. As places are limited, we would ask only one representative per organisation attends (although we would be happy to retain a waiting list for the events).

Consultants are also gathering views more generally through an online survey which can be accessed at: LINK
