The IHBC writes:
In this issue we are pleased to announce that booking is now available for the IHBC Annual School which will take place in Reading between 12th and 15th June this year, with the support of IHBC South Branch. We also wish to highlight the upcoming IHBC 2024 AGM, on 30th April, which will open with a talk by Dr Robyn Pender entitled ‘Taming the elephant in the room: ‘Why exactly are we using so much energy in buildings in the first place?’.
In addition, there are a number of IHBC Branch events to look forward to, including a joint East Midlands and Yorkshire Branch event on 22nd April which will explore the conservation and regeneration of the area known as the Kasbah, in Grimsby. The South East branch will also be hosting an event in Canterbury on the 26th titled ‘Levelling up our world heritage: Policy and practice for management of the historic environment’. Meanwhile, the North branch are collaborating with RTPI North East to host another in person event in Durham, looking at the heritage led regeneration of Bishop Auckland on the 5th June.
