Evidence on culture benefits sought in England

CASE the Culture and Sport Evidence initiative is the new £1.8M, 3 year joint programme of research led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in England, in collaboration with the Arts Council England, English Heritage, the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and Sport England. The overall aim is to strengthen understanding of how best to deliver culture and sporting opportunities of the highest quality to the widest audience generating the best outcomes for society.  During the first stage of CASE, DCMS is looking to assess relevant high-quality studies, data sources or analysis relating to culture and sports policy on engagement. This can be anything which looks at who engages, when and why, as well as any work examining the impact of that participation and its value. If you have papers, data or analysis that may fit that description, send them to          with subject ‘CASE Evidence’.  A CASE newsletter will be published three times a year. The first issue can be found at http://www.culture.gov.uk/case/newsletter.html The CASE website can be found at www.culture.gov.uk/case
