IHBC’s South West Branch targets national CPD priority in Retrofit: 22/11, Bridgewater Arts Centre, from £45

IHBC’s South West (SW) Branch is responding to members’ recognised priority CPD needs with its  latest event on Retrofit, supported by the IHBC National Office through its Local Branch CPD pilot, led by Professor John Edwards, on 22/11, from £45 (members), and with an open AGM.

We are delighted to announce the latest in a series of IHBC Branch Events, supported by the IHBC National Office through the Local Branch CPD pilot, as the South West Branch host an event on retrofitting traditional and historic buildings, led by Professor John Edwards. The event will take place on 22 November in Bridgewater Arts Centre, itself a Grade I listed building.

The event will focus cover a variety of topics including the important of sustainable maintenance and repair to improve performance, the application of standards such as BS7913, BS EN 16883, PAS 2035 and PAS2038 different roles and responsibilities, and perspectives, in the sector as well as drawing on the IHBC retrofit toolkit and more.

This event will be useful to anyone who is involved with the specification or assessment of retrofit measures in traditional and historic buildings and is looking to further their understanding in this area. It will afford attendees valuable IHBC recognised CPD, especially in relation to the Intervention Area of Competence.

The session will conclude with the annual AGM and an opportunity for members to stay and take part in the meeting to get a better understanding of the local branches function.
