BECD Product Database site currently down due to demand and data quantity

The website of Built Environment Carbon Database (BECD) – the free-to-use accessible repository of whole-life carbon assessments of built assets etc data – is down due to ‘the amount of people trying to access the site… and the quantity of product emissions data.’

BECD writes:

We would like to thank you for the support that you have provided to the launch of BECD.

We are aware some users are having issues accessing the site. This has been caused by the amount of people trying to access the site and the quantity of product emissions data now available in BECD which is much higher than we originally planned.

Our technical team are investigating and have temporarily taken down the product database and we look to reinstate this as soon as possible. In the meantime, the BECD Asset database is still available.

We apologise for any inconvenience.
