IHBC ‘Intervention’ Signpost: Eric Lyons’ Richmond house to be demolished following planning appeal

Proctor & Shaw’s plans to knock down a house in south-west London, designed by post-war architect Eric Lyons, have been approved on appeal.

Architect’s Journal writes:

Richmond-upon-Thames council had initially refused consent in 2022 for the practice’s proposals to replace 25 Ham Farm Road with a more accessible home…. The scheme was subsequently rejected…

… But Proctor & Shaw appealed to the planning inspectorate, which has now overturned the council’s original decision…
