IHBC’s heritage business register HESPR – our Historic Environment Service Providers Recognition quality assurance scheme for heritage services – emails members weekly ‘News and Tender Alerts’, and this week features the Architects’ Journal (AJ) on ‘RIBA London awards 2023: all 52 winners revealed’.
AJ writes:
The RIBA has handed London regional awards to 52 projects….
The winners, announced on Friday (12 May), were selected from a ‘bumper crop’ of 92 projects vying for the institute’s annual honours in the capital.
Among the recipients was the John Morden Centre by 2022 Stirling Prize contender Mæ, which was also crowned RIBA London Building of the Year 2023…
… The regional award winners will now be considered for a RIBA National Award ‘in recognition of their architectural excellence’. The results will be announced on 22 June.
The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will then be drawn from the RIBA National Award-winning projects, with the winner announced in October.
