IHBC Education Secretary and Committee Chair John Preston has provided a briefing note as he calls on members and colleagues to respond to the current UK-wide CITB ConstructionSkills Consultation on Future Skills strategy.
John Preston writes:
‘Are you concerned about finding skilled people to work on historic and traditional buildings? Here is an opportunity for you to help raise the profile of conservation within the UK construction industry.
IHBC Council agreed on 22 September that the current UK-wide CITB ConstructionSkills Consultation on Future Skills strategy is so important that it should be circulated to all IHBC members and colleagues to give them the opportunity to submit individual responses.
The Consultation (with separate versions for each of the UK home countries) is at: LINK
Responses have to be submitted by 28 October.
