The National Trust writes:
Success stories from the past year
- We planted 1.9 million trees’ Rolling hillside covered in young trees surrounded by tree guards
- We created or restored 500 hectares of priority habitat
- Nature Towns and Cities was launched, bringing more nature into urban areas
- Peatland restoration work on Divis and the Black Mountain helped retain an estimated 70,000 cubic metres of water
- We’ve acquired 172 collections items
- We’ve embraced Slow Gardening, working with nature to build sustainable landscapes
