The IHBC congratulates the 2017 Historic England (HE) Angel Awards winners, who were presented with their awards at a glittering ceremony at the Palace Theatre in London on 20 November, especially Claire Slattery, as joint ‘Best Rescue of a Historic Building’ winner for her role in the rescue of The Piece Hall Halifax, West Yorkshire, and Angel Award winner overall for 2017.

The Historic England Angel Awards celebrate the efforts of people taking action to champion their local heritage. The awards were founded by Andrew Lloyd Webber and are co-funded by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.
