IHBC welcomes Rebecca Thompson as CIOB’s new President, No. 114 (and 3698AFF (YO))

Context 148 Vox Pox articleThe IHBC has welcomed the CIOB’s new President, Rebecca Thompson, currently an IHBC Affiliate member in the Yorkshire (YO) Branch, who took up her appointment as 114th President of the CIOB on 19 June.

IHBC Chair James Caird said: ‘The IHBC has enjoyed a long-standing close partnership with the CIOB over recent years, most recently with their support for the circulation of our ‘Retrofit’ issue of our journal Context, produced under the lead of IHBC trustee John Edwards, and with a planned event with our North Branch in Bishop Auckland, on heritage project management, in October, to be chaired by Rebecca.’

‘We know that Rebecca will help continue our productive partnership during her term, and look forward to the cultivation of even closer ties now that the CIOB is developing its own conservation accreditation’.
