IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘The IHBC is delighted to partner again in another ‘Conservation of Thatch’ day, and offer delegates a unique blend of understanding and insight into the practice, principles and policy of thatch, from its intangible and material heritage to its conservation, future and threats.’

‘It is especially good for the IHBC to be able to offer special rates for IHBC members, while we encourage especially both members and non-members in local authorities to extend their skills and understanding of this remarkable heritage.’

‘Talks and demonstrations on the day are wide ranging, and encompass all the IHBC’s ‘Areas of Competence’, the conservation learning framework for accredited membership of the IHBC’.
