The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales (RCAHMW), the national archive and investigation service for Wales, seeks 3 commissioners, community engagement, digital strategy and archaeology (including industrial), with a closing date of 18 April.
RCAHMW writes: Building on our recent successes and achievements, we’re now looking to grow and develop our organisation for the future. We’re looking for people to join our Board of Commissioners who are prepared to help direct, challenge and constructively review our work. We’re committed to strengthening and diversifying our board, and so are looking for new members who have significant experience or expertise at a senior and/or strategic level in one or more of these areas:
- Community engagement: We wish to recruit a Commissioner with practical experience of working in this field to help us formulate an appropriate and realistic community engagement strategy and to help us identify potential partners for this work.
- Digital strategy: We wish to recruit an individual with a strong track record in digital leadership to help us see with clarity what we need to do to lay the foundations of a viable strategy that will serve the Royal Commission well in the immediate and longer term future.
- Archaeology (including industrial archaeology): We wish to recruit a leading archaeologist as a Commissioner to help with our horizon scanning work so as to identify suitable projects and to help us exploit digital field recording technologies to the full, especially in regard to large and complex sites.
