Criminal record and 180 hours community service for builder who risked lives to cut costs when repointing
A Salford building contractor has been sentenced to 180 hours community service and made to pay a fine of £2000 after exposing workers to the dangers of falls from height and exposure to silica dust when repointing.

Illegal felling of protected trees highlighted by Park Authority signs
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has resorted to the unprecedented step of erecting two temporary information signs on land at Upper Burrows in Freshwater East where protected trees were felled and abandoned.
