IHBC welcomes HE’s ‘Heritage Crime Guidance for Sentencers’ update

The IHBC has welcomed Historic England’s (HE) update of its Heritage Crime Guidance for Sentencers, which is designed to assist Judges, Magistrates and their legal advisers in determining the appropriate sentence for a heritage crime.

Campaigners battle Barratt to save historic Birmingham church

Conservation campaigners are calling for Barratt Homes to halt plans to demolish the church and former orphanage as part of major new housing estate as both Save Britain’s Heritage and The Victorian Society have voiced objections to Birmingham City Council.

Iron Age chariot and horses unearthed on building site

The BBC has reported that two horse skeletons and the remains of a chariot dating back to the Iron Age have been found on a housing development in East Yorkshire.
