New closing date of 30 April for IHBC’s two Marsh Awards: ‘civic contributions by retired members’ and ‘successful learners’
A new closing date of 30 April has been announced for the two IHBC 2024 Marsh Awards – for ‘civic contributions by retired members’, and for ‘successful learning in heritage skills’ – with awards of £500 and free places at IHBC’s 2024 Annual School in Reading, for presentations on June 14.

Intangible Cultural Heritage: UK becomes the 183rd State to join UNESCO’s Convention
The United Kingdom (UK) has ratified UNESCO’s 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which will be effective on 7 June 2024.
