IHBC’s 2018 members survey feedback No3: Our thoughts on sundry ‘issues as submitted’ – IHBC members can take a look!
As trustees continued to build on the IHBC’s 2017-18 Member Survey and its positive results – such as 92% of members satisfied or very satisfied with services, and 94% likely or very likely to recommend IHBC membership – in April IHBC they received a report that included itemised consideration of membership concerns, as reported in the extract below.

A pre-IHBC classic is now accessible online on our LPA web resource – 1992’s ‘Listed Building Repairs Notices’ from the ACO
Following continued user interest in the 1992 ‘Listed Building Repairs Notices’ research and guidance, produced by the IHBC’s predecessor, the Association of Conservation Officers [ACO], the IHBC has now made available online a digital edition on our Local Planning Authority (LPS) resource site – which including select updates of references – thanks to the efforts of the original author, now also serving as the IHBC’s research consultant, Bob Kindred MBE.

Cultural hub of Glasgow at risk from GSA fire: In media and the Parliament
There has been discussion in the local media and in the Scottish Parliament surrounding the issues for planned return to residents and businesses to the area affected by the Glasgow School of Art Fire, including the Centre for Contemporary Arts which is located immediately adjacent to the Art School, raising concerns over its future.

IHBC’s international ‘signpost’: UK Government Cultural Protection Fund update
The UK Cultural Protection Fund announced that funding has been provided to a project in the Garmain region of Iraqi Kurdistan, aiming to document and monitor the sites and run educational projects which help to upskill local archaeologists and develop education packs for schools relating to the importance of the Mesopotamian remains.
