Detailed consideration of legislation of HS2 approved

The implementation of the HS2 high speed rail link (HS2) between London Euston and Birmingham moved closer this week with the approval of the House of Commons High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Bill.

Planning Portal reports:
The hybrid Bill stipulates that there should be a high-speed railway between Euston and a junction with the west coast main line at Handsacre, with a spur to Birmingham Curzon Street and intermediate stations at Birmingham Interchange and Old Oak Common.
