CITB survey into higher education trends

Have your say on construction and built environment subjects in higher education: ‘Trends, Factors, Risks and Solutions’ by completing a short survey from CITB before 4 October.

CITB writes:
This survey allows you to provide your views on the provision of construction and built environment subjects within higher education and its relationship with the construction industry.

The survey will be open until Midday on Monday 14 October

Although recruitment into higher education courses for Construction and Built Environment subject areas looks to be slightly better in 2013, levels are still low compared to previous years and there has been a declining trend from 2008 through to 2012.

This survey is part of finding more out about why there has been this relatively poor recruitment, what risks could be posed to the industry if this continues, what could realistically be done about the current situation and who might be involved.  CITB and CIC are looking for views on both undergraduate (including ‘sub – degree’, for example HND) and postgraduate provision, and depending on your experience and knowledge, we would welcome your response on either or both.

All responses are strictly confidential in nature. Your individual response will not be shared with a third party, nor will you be identified in any report produced. Your view will be used at an aggregate level to inform an important phase of our strategy for working in liaison with higher education and its associated interests, including government bodies.
