The Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) has joined the public cultural news and events web hub Culture24, a service supported by the Arts Council England and the Heritage lottery Fund.
IHBC Director Sean O’Reilly said: ‘It’s great that the charitable and outward-facing work of IHBC is recognised on this site at last. And while not all of our events will have the focus on the general public that the site works to, there’s no doubt that much of what our Branches do, or contribute to, could find a useful outlet through Culture24!’
‘And there’s no doubt our presence on the site, and the promotion there of other conservation bodies such as building preservation trusts, amenity bodies and civic bodies, will add to the wider public awareness of what it is to enjoy, experience and work in heritage, conservation and the built and historic environment!
Culture24 describes its service as providing the ‘Latest news, exhibition reviews, links, museum and gallery event listings and education resources from thousands of UK museums, art galleries, heritage sites, archives and libraries, all in one place.’
