New Planning Officers Society president

Mike Kiely, director of planning and building control at Croydon Council in south London, was elected as the new president of the Planning Officers Society’s at the organisation’s AGM on 10 May.

He joined Croydon in 2009 from Tower Hamlets where he had spent three years and before that he had worked for Waltham Forest.

He was involved in the planning of the London 2012 Olympics, from its inception while at Waltham Forest, through to delivery at Tower Hamlets.
