The first newsletter of the Sustainable Traditional Building Alliance (STBA), an organisation with the IHBC as a supporter, reports that new co-chairs and staff have been appointed to lead it under its new structure.
The STBA writes:
The basic structure of the STBA has been agreed. The steering group will be drawn equally from non-profit organisations in the three fields of conservation, sustainability and industry.
There are now three co-chairs of the Alliance:
Conservation: Roger Curtis of Historic Scotland
Sustainability: Neil May of the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products
Industry: Sam Allwinkle of CIAT
Meetings of the steering group will be chaired by each person in rotation.
Nigel Griffiths has joined the STBA as Director, working part time from the beginning of April.
