· Leadership and management are highly effective in driving improvements to outcomes for learners
· Quality assurance arrangements are exceptionally effective
· The curriculum is extremely well planned
Welcoming the report, CITB-ConstructionSkills Employer Services Director, Mike Bialyj, said: ‘The construction industry has a right to expect that CITB-ConstructionSkills – the organisation it funds – will deliver cutting edge learning of the highest possible standard. With this powerful external recognition comes enormous responsibility. The inspection outcomes and report set some demanding but exciting challenges for us as a learning provider. These challenges could have significant impact on the landscape of workplace learning. Our first task is to continue to strive to maintain the high standards we have set and ensure that outstanding performance remains an expectation, not an exception.’
‘We are not complacent and recognise that the investment that the construction sector makes in us means that we must continue to look for opportunities to drive up standards still further.’ CITB-ConstructionSkills is the largest provider of construction apprentices in Great Britain and has almost 12,000 apprentices in training and supports almost 16,000 through the grant scheme.’
