The new issue of the journal of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC), Context, has been issues, themed on the IHBC’s recent Annual School on ‘Significance’, while also presenting two important case studies on the operation of the new planning policy in England.
This year’s Annual School, which was hosted by the IHBC’s South Branch and took place in Winchester, explored diverse approaches to ‘significance’. The current issue of Context looks in detail at those discussions.
As ever, themed issues of Context also include more general conservation articles as well as news, book reviews and reports from IHBC’s officers.
For future Context themes, which include Leisure (deadline January 2013), Scotland and the Coast, see: LINK
The IHBC is always keen to hear about ideas for content, so for any proposals or suggestions for articles, please contact Fiona Newton at editorial@ihbc.org.uk
