A Luton entrepreneur who started his business from doors found in a skip has received the King’s Award, reports Luton Today.

Luton Today writes:

… Joseph Holman founded Green Doors, a company which provides customers with pre-loved and pre-made doors and windows, in 2015…

Last year the company saved more than 3,000 items from landfill, selling them to builders, homeowners and renovators from its 25,000 square feet warehouse in Luton…

He explained: ‘I started 11 years ago with a set of doors I found in a skip, and now, I’ve received an award from the King. Being in a skip to receive this award felt like the most honest way to tell that story.’…
