The Princes Foundation has invited candidates under 40 to send in their designs for a 2013 version of the Prince’s House, with the winning design to be built at next year’s Ideal Home Show.
The Princes Foundation writes:
Following the tremendous success of the Prince’s Arts & Crafts House at the Ideal Home Show 2012 we are pleased to announce an exciting competition ahead of next year.
In a unique opportunity, candidates are invited to send in their designs for a 2013 version of the Prince’s House, with the winning design to be built at next year’s Ideal Home Show. The winner also receive a prize of £5,000, and will see their design added to a real development site following the show.
An expert panel chaired by HRH, The Prince of Wales, and including our ambassador, TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp, will decide which design best reflects our ethos and commitment to the designing of lasting, beautiful and sustainable homes.
Budding young architects and designers under the age of 40 are encouraged to muster all their creative energy and help us realise our vision of an environmentally friendly house, that someone would want to call their home.
