IHBC’s July CPD Circular now out: Easy access to training, awards & more – from free ‘Affiliate Fast-Track Pilot’ for LA Staff and surgeries to CPD Providers’ events & more

IHBC’s CPD Circular for July offers the usual accessible Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for conservation professionals, including on access to #IHBCReading2024 School CPD, and special support for moving from Supporter to Affiliate member categories, alongside a special ‘fast track’ pilot for local authority staff.

Table of Contents

IHBC writes:

In this issue we look back fondly on this year’s IHBC Annual School, held in Reading between 12 and 15 June. It was a wonderful opportunity for new and longstanding members, and non-members alike, to immerse themselves in the world of heritage and conservation over the three-day conference, which focused on the theme of Place and Building Care.

For those of you who were unable to make it either in person, or as a virtual delegate, there is good news! You can still access select recordings from the Day School, and selected pre-conference webinars, from just £30 +VAT. All registered delegates also will be offered these select recordings.

Affiliate Fast-Track Pilot for Local Authority Heritage Staff

Earlier this year, the IHBC launched its Affiliate fast-track pilot, helping long-standing IHBC Supporters progress towards their Affiliate membership, and beyond. We are delighted to announce that we will be launching a further pilot aimed specifically at supporting Local Authority staff working in the field of historic building conservation and heritage, to advance from Supporter status to Affiliate membership.

The pilot will run from Monday 15th July to Friday 30th August, and those taking part will get the opportunity to attend targeted online support sessions, free of charge, to find out more about how the pilot works and start completing their Affiliate fast-track application.

We are also delighted to announce that we will be holding two further online drop-in sessions for those who are looking to advance towards Affiliate membership, on 17th July and 18th September. These sessions are free to attend and open to all.
