IHBC members, colleagues and others interested in conservation now may easily send key sector news and updates direct from the IHBC’s NewsBlogs to their favoured on-line networks by using the new links in our NewsBlog archive.
Continuing the development of its NewsBlog service as a resource for the conservation sector as a whole, the IHBC has introduced dedicated links to Linkedin, Twitter and other digital networking resources. This makes it easier for members and non-members to circulate colleagues and friends with current news, generate discussions, and benefit from some of the most informed perspectives in built and historic environment conservation.
IHBC director Sean O’Reilly said: ‘These developments are part of the huge contributions our members make to building capacity and understanding across the diverse interests that deliver conservation. I’m delighted we are able to open out this important resource to even wider use. It can only help specialists and volunteers, students and researcher, communities and enablers, all appreciate the wide range of issues that shape conservation.’
‘These developments are particularly timely too as the inclusive partnership that this sector-wide access to our NewsBlog resource generates also continues into our current priorities. The IHBC School, to take place in June, will explore the most challenging conservation for society, how we decide on valuing heritage, or ‘Significance’, while our forthcoming Yearbook will take a new look at volunteering in the sector.’
