Read the Council’s Consultation draft on the 2024 AGM Resolution
Members attending Council – all welcome – will have the opportunity to hear about the IHBC’s progress on the path to a Charter. Those who didn’t find out about this across the country through their Branches will get a chance to hear what it’s all about, as well as progress made and planned. Even if you know this already, there is another opportunity to give your views and to review the draft resolution proposed for the 2024 AGM on 30 April as a Board Resolution that could mark another stage in IHBC’s exploration of a Charter.
IHBC Chair David McDonald said: ‘I am very pleased to be able to attend this Council meeting and be given the opportunity to discuss progress towards possible chartered status for the IHBC. The feedback I have received from the consultation with our branches has been in the main very positive and I look forward to listening to the views of all those in attendance at this important Council event.’
Elsewhere in the Council meeting our topical CPD will look at political engagement for heritage as Ailsa Macfarlane, Director of the Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) will talk about ‘Getting the opportunity to ‘speak truth to power’ – engaging with the Scottish Government.’
