The recent webinar by IHBC’s Technical Panel lead, John Edwards, on ‘Applying BSI’s PAS 2035:2023…’ – a free learning event also part of the pre-School programme for IHBC’s Reading School 2024, #IHBCReading2024, on ‘Place & Building Care: Finance, policy & people in conservation practice’ – is now available on IHBC’s YouTube channel!
John Edwards said: ‘The second edition of PAS 2035, has just been published. It’s the UK standard for retrofitting dwellings of all types and ages and is used extensively for publicly funded retrofit, and in this webinar I show how to apply it to traditional and historic buildings, looking at the good points and parts that are perhaps not so good. I also take a look at BS7913, which is referred to extensively in PAS2035’.
John Edwards, IHBC Technical Panel Secretary, writes:
PAS 2035 is a standard developed for the retrofitting of dwellings of all types and ages including traditional and historic buildings. This webinar will generally introduce the recently published 2023 version and focus on its application to traditional and historic buildings and the role of ‘BS7913:2013: Guide to the Conservation of Historic Buildings’ in complying with PAS 2035. At the end of the webinar, you will have an awareness of PAS 2035 and what’s it for, an understanding of the different roles and the competencies and qualifications required for each of them. In addition, an outline in how to apply PAS 2035 and what outcomes are likely to be achieved in different circumstances.
