Historic England: Training Newsletter now out

Historic England’s Sector Resilience & Skills Team has issue its Training Newsletter, providing updates on training and learning opportunities for the heritage sector.

Welcome to the Historic England Training Newsletter. Autumn seems to have come around quickly but we are pleased to share with you what we will be busy with before the year comes to a close. In addition to the launch of two new Historic Environment Management courses in the next couple of months, we will also be offering further climate change learning opportunities. See below for details of the Heritage Carbon Literacy course rollout and how you can get involved. This training will be packaged together with our existing Heritage and Climate Change courses and upcoming retrofit microlearning to create a new programme of climate change e-learning, which will be complemented by the ongoing schedule of Technical Tuesday webinars.

We are also tendering for a consultant to support us with our ongoing Training Needs Analysis. This will help us to improve our training offer and we look forward to telling you more about this soon. In the meantime, the Historic England Industrial Heritage Network is keen to gauge training needs in their area of work – find a link to their survey in this issue.
