EWH seeks new Chair and Trustees

Edinburgh World Heritage (EWH) the charitable organisation responsible for conserving and promoting the interests of the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh World Heritage Site is seeking a new chair and trustees – (see http://www.ihbc.org.uk/jobsnew/).

EH writes of itself:

It’s work includes the conservation and repair of buildings, monuments and spaces; the adaptation of historic buildings to modern life; learning, outreach and promotion of the World Heritage Site and influencing decision-making. ??EWH’s board is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation and stewardship of public and charitably given funds. It is highly active at a strategic level and requires the energetic input of trustees who are able to support and add value to the work of its small professional team.

It is currently seeking a new Chair, to replace Professor Charles McKean. The role is unremunerated and will require a time commitment of around five days a month.

New trustees are also sought to help drive the organisation in this challenging financial climate towards the ambitious aims outlined in its five year strategic plan. Specifically, it is looking for trustees strong in the fields of urbanism/sustainability, conservation and human resources.

Further details including a role description and person specification are available below, or by contacting info@ewht.org.uk, 0131 220 7720.
