Booking has now opened for the IHBC Yorkshire Branch 2011 Restoration Yorkshire Day Conference which will be held at the Hospitium in Museum Gardens York on Thursday 24 November.
‘Restoration 2011 – Yorkshire’s Heritage at Risk’ will explore the challenge of repairing and bringing back into sustainable re-use Yorkshire’s derelict historic buildings. It will focus on funding and include inspirational case studies from those projects that have unlocked the financial keys and include workshops on producing Feasibility Studies and Options Appraisals to secure that funding.
Organised by the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and supported by English Heritage, in association with the Royal Institute of British Architects and the UK Association of Preservation Trusts the one day conference will bring together everyone involved in conserving Yorkshire’s built heritage.
Delegates from local authorities including conservation and planning officers, trustees and officers of building preservation trusts, developers, architects and consultants, councillors, developers and their professional advisors will hear from a first rate line-up of speakers.
