IHBC welcomes HER21 reports online

HER21 is part of an English Heritage 5-year strategy to support the development of Historic Environment Records (HERs) towards ‘consistency in both structure and content, from one HER to another, as well as reasonable and proportionate completeness of information’, and the IHBC has warmly welcomed the posting of the research reports on the HELM website.

Sarah Reilly of English Heritage said: ‘The projects look at increasing the range and usefulness of the historic environment information held in an HER and test ways of accessing it. Many of the projects worked in collaboration with Conservation and Planning staff in Local Authorities and should be of interest to members.’

The web pages will be updated regularly but if you would like some guidance on which reports might be relevant to you contact sarah.reilly@english-heritage.org.uk or e-mail us via the link on the HER21 page.

The reports are now available on the HELM website: www.helm.org.uk/HER21
