HA Heritage Funding Directory updated

The Heritage Alliance’s Heritage Funding Directory (HFD) offers a comprehensive guide to sources of financial support (and more) for anyone seeking to undertake creative projects connected with the UK’s heritage and has been recently updated.

Categories include the countryside, historic landscapes, parks, gardens, churchyards and cemeteries; industrial, transport and maritime heritage; archives, collections, spoken history; historic churches and other buildings; museums and gallery collections; land and maritime archaeology; environmental; heritage skills and conservation.

The HFD includes details of the majority of substantive sources of funding from central and local government, non-governmental agencies and grant-making trusts that specialise in supporting heritage projects, as well as many which provide such funding within a wider remit. As well as detailing sources of grants, the HFD also lists bodies offering loans, awards, scholarships, training, funding advice, education, interpretation and publication, and other “in kind” resources.

The HFD consultant Jeremy Eckstein has recently completed a programme of revisions to the existing funding sources, as well as updates with new sources. Give it a go! The HFD is free to use and is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and The Leche Trust.
